Lady Lucia Update (December Edition!)

Hello, readers--

It's the most wonderful time of the year. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm looking forward to the holiday festivities. At the same time, I'm not looking forward to being busy for pretty much the rest of the month!

For those that remember, December is always pretty nonstop for me. My day job is the most demanding at the end of the year, I usually have a few holiday-related social things going on, plus Christmas and New Year's themselves. And, of course, keeping up with my writing and editing!

Speaking of which, I suppose I can move on to the announcements. I know I've been teasing the 2026 shift for a while, which I'll talk about a little bit here:

Story/Genre Updates

Same as it's been for a couple months now. You can expect the usual installments of my commissions, as well as updates to most of my ongoing stories. Rather than dwelling on that recap, how about I tease an upcoming short story?

The Presentation: More holiday-adjacent, but still. I'm still in the brainstorming/outlining phase. Will for sure have some ABDL elements, and I'm still undecided about whether to go with a male or female protagonist. Would love to hear preferences, as I'll be able to adjust pretty easily between the two at this point.

Story Highlight

This time, I can stay on theme with the season!

Christmas Traditions, by Alec Leamus, is an AR story that is wonderfully slow burn without the intrigue ever fading. I stumbled upon it a few months ago, and have eagerly been waiting for the next part!

It's not yet a complete story, but the five chapters currently available are all pleasantly long and worth the read in the meantime. Per the comments on Chapter Five, it sounds like there will be an update some time between now and Christmas, so we have that to look forward to!

Plans for 2026

Speaking of pleasantly long story installments, that's more or less the basis of my plan for the coming year.

Between some of the feedback I've been getting, as well as how constantly pivoting between stories can be challenging from a focus standpoint, I think it will be better to avoid spreading my attention too thin like I've been doing lately.

What does that mean?

Great question. I still haven't entirely figured it out.

--One, I'm hoping to write longer updates to existing stories, rather than a bunch of shorter parts. Also, I want to push towards the completion of the ones that have been going on for a while. Not rushing to the end, mind you. Just working my way towards a satisfying conclusion, without dragging things out too much.

--Two, I'm hoping to write more short stories. Either a standalone post, or a limited serial that will conclude within a few months at most. I don't want all of my works to be ones that need to be kept up with over an extended period of time. Sometimes it can be nice to enjoy a story without the constant investment while you wait.

However, I can't magically just make all of my posts longer, or add short stories on top of my current writing schedule. I will absolutely burn out, like any content creator who goes too deep with their projects. So the downside to these concepts is that I'll probably be posting less frequently. Once or twice a week, when it's ready, rather than binding myself to specific days.

It's important to note that the collective quantity you get every month will not decrease. Slightly fewer posts, but a higher word count on each.

Speaking of upcoming writing . . .

Plans for 2026, Part Two

In terms of short stories, what would be people be interested in seeing? Whether it's specific story/character ideas, vague concepts, etc. Comment on this post on my SubscribeStar!

Conclusion

In case you're wondering, the best you gift you can give this year is obviously a subscription to a writer in need. :)

Happy holidays!

Much love,

Lady Lucia
